After graduating from Guilford College (Greensboro, North Carolina) with a BA in Fine Arts and a minor in Communications, I spent several years as a Graphic Artist with a print shop in Durham, NC. I began designing/developing websites in 1997 while attending a computer graphic design course at the North Carolina School of Communication Arts. My first position upon completing this course was with the Insiders' Guide; a book publisher originally located in Manteo on North Carolina's Outer Banks. After Returning to Raleigh in 1999, I spent a year developing websites for the agency Sperry & Associates. Starting in March of 2000, I managed the website of the 3D start-up NxView Technologies in Cary, NC. I also sharpened my JavaScript skills by integrating NxView's 3D content into interactive web pages. I am currently employed by Duke University as the Lead Web Designer for the Health System's Web Services group as well as my ongoing freelance efforts in butterworks. Well, that is my history in a nutshell. Hope you enjoy my samples on this site, and please take a moment to fill out my contact form.
